Date of application of the MDR postponed until 26 May 2021

On April 23, 2020 the Regulation (EU) 2020/561 of the European Parliament and the Council was published. This regulation amends the Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices, as regards the dates of application of provisions. The new date of application for the MDR will be 26 May 2021.This postponement is due to the exceptional circumstances by the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential impact it may have had on the MDR implementation.
